Filmmaking for Social Change was born in 2018 from the collaboration between the Navarrese artist and documentary filmmaker Mikel Belascoain<\/strong> and the London-based anthropologist, director of the London International Documentary Film Festival, Patrick Hazard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With a small home projector and the initial support of the Hotel Maisonnave, the idea of appreciating cinema through small stories with something to say about different topics, in which the multiple edges of the human condition have always been present, began to take shape. Childhood and migrations, populisms or love and hate have been at the center of the artistic program of each edition, offering a panoramic view of different points of view through the eyes of local, national and international artists who have visited Pamplona during the festival. All these views have always shared the same spirit: the commitment to an independent, critical and open vision, with the aim of inviting reflection in the viewer.<\/p>\n

In this edition 2025, dedicated to the theme \"Future\"<\/strong>We invite the public to transit a space where cinema and art converge to confront the complex realities of our present and the often disturbing visions of what is to come. In a world marked by armed conflicts, the omnipresence of artificial intelligence and the shadow of dystopias that seem to haunt us, this festival stands as a platform for pause, dialogue and reflection.<\/p>\n

Over the next few days we will witness stories that not only transport us to possible futures, but also illuminate the urgent challenges we face today. We will see creators address geopolitical tensions, the impact of technology on our lives, and the ways in which society adapts - or succumbs - to drastic changes. From narratives that starkly portray our current reality to poetic explorations of uncertain futures, each screening and exhibition has been carefully selected to inspire, provoke and, above all, open a critical dialogue about where we are headed.<\/p>\n

We want to question the established, confront uncertainties and, perhaps, find in art new perspectives to navigate the complex paths that open up before us.<\/p>\n

Year after year, this festival aims to consolidate Pamplona as a city open to creation and avant-garde art.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t
