The Filmmaking for Social Change festival has established itself as a festival of creation. We differentiate ourselves by our commitment to experimentation, creation and production, an area in which we have more than 12 years of experience through F\u00e1brica de Arte Nuevo. Our mission as a creative space is clear: \"we want to make films and create art\" to tell stories that make us think and can transform the way we look at our environment.<\/p>\n

In this edition of 2025, we present a selection of projects created expressly for the festival, a reflection of our commitment to local and international talent: Futuro: A co-creation of Arte Nuevo with singer-songwriter Holly Miranda and the Chemnitz School of Music, Germany. El \u00daltimo Bicho: An \"expanded cinema\" film project created by Mikel Belascoain and Miguel Go\u00f1i and performed live by Germ\u00e1n Carrascosa. Life: The new work by artists Iv\u00e1n Gonz\u00e1lez, Izeia Encina and Alaitz Molina, supported by our Festival, which continues the work started in 2021 with the Film School project.<\/p>\n

We also programmed projects by local artists such as Verano Nuclear by Silvia Ayerra, the research on plant intelligence by Monika Aranda and Sin Edad, by Vittoria Drago, a co-creation project with children. Films for Social Change Platform With the support of the Ministry of Culture, we launched the digital platform Films for Social Change. This initiative seeks to bring the works of past editions and the projects that we have supported from the Festival over time to a wider audience.<\/p>\n
