We focus on Iñaki Alforja's film career.

 

The filmmaker from Navarre brings us the keys to his way of understanding cinema and the audiovisual perspective. In addition, we have the presence of Motxila 21, a work of mutual trust between the filmmaker and the musical collective Motxila 21, aimed at breaking with historical stereotypes and the infantilization of people with disabilities.

La música de Bobbi Relac se articula con delicadeza, como canción de sanación que trasciende al desgarro.

 

Envuelta en ironía y con pieles vestidas de acordes folk, notas blues, sonrisas pop,vientos de rock heterodoxo, trajes psicodélicos y caricias exóticas o anden ya de vuelta por viajes instrumentales experimentales.

CON FOCO EN EL SER HUMANO

FEFA. 9 min. Año 2025. Mónika Aranda

 

Cortometraje documental que explora la memoria y el deseo de Fefa, una mujer de 96 años, cuya historia se articula a partir de un dibujo suyo en blanco y negro, el único que conserva.

A través de entrevistas y animaciones inspiradas en esa imagen, la película construye un relato íntimo donde fe y amor se entrelazan. La pieza se presenta con música de piano, interpretada e improvisada en directo por el reconocido pianista Jonathan Milla.

ANTES DE QUE LLEGARAS – Toni Sasal. 8′. Estreno.Proyección y dialogo con director.

 

Esta pieza audiovisual nace como una prolongación natural del proyecto fotográfico Antes de que llegaras. Explora la relacion cotidiana que cualquiera de nosotros establece con las manifestaciones artísticas que encuentra a su alcance y, al mismo tiempo, supone un acercamiento hacia todo aquello que las origina y sostiene.

 

Efectivamente, el trabajo del artista es una fuerza invisible. Como espectadores vemos la obra, igual que vemos las ondas o el cauce del río, pero no el proceso silencioso que las originó ni la profundidad de su alcance. Todo lo valioso madura en silencio.

FROM KRUTXALTEA TO URONA. Year 2024. Marina Lameiro

 

Entre las fuentes Krutxaltea y Urona se encuentra el pueblo de Uztarroz, en el Pirineo Navarro. La cineasta Marina Lameiro propone a los uztarroztarras realizar una película de manera colectiva en la que ellos sean los autores. Participan personas de todas las edades para mostrar como es el verano allí.

 

Krutxalteatik Uronarat es una película en la que un pueblo determina de manera colectiva como autorrepresentarse.

 

Marina Lameiro es cineasta y productora. Su trabajo ha sido seleccionado en festivales como Visions du Réel, FIDMarseille, Punto de Vista, Open City London o Moma Doc Fortnight, entre otros.

El grupo de txalaparta de la Asociación Síndrome de Down nace como un proyecto innovador y lúdico que busca el desarrollo emocional, la interacción grupal y la coordinación, a través del ritmo musical de la percusión que nos ofrece la peculiaridad de la Txalaparta.

Presentamos una nueva sección en Filmmaking for Social Change dirigida a artistas, colectivos y/o personas con cualquier trayectoria profesional, menores de 30 años y acostumbradas a compartir contenidos de forma audiovisual en redes sociales.

 

Buscamos piezas de duración inferior a 3 minutos que incorporen nuevos usos de formatos audiovisuales (TIK TOK, Reels, formatos verticales, formatos híbridos) con cualquier tipo de calidad audiovisual, que den una mirada autoreferencial, no normativa y alternativa del ser humano.

We talked with the artist Beniamin Boar about his art project
“One and Three Humans is a performative installation that reinterprets the
work “One and Three Chairs” (1965) by Joseph Kosuth, substituting the everyday object with a living person. Through the simultaneous presence of the body, its life-scale photograph, and a textual definition of “human,” the work establishes a dialogue between the real, the photographic, and the verbal, inviting reflection on which aspects of identity and human experience remain outside of all representation.”

Silent Film Installation
The installation puts two silent film pieces created by into dialogue
female filmmakers separated by 80 years who offer us two visions of being
human, with dance as the protagonist.

RITUAL IN TRANSFIGURED TIMES Maya Deren

 

Ritual in Transfigured Time is a 15-minute silent short film focused on transformation, the passage of time, and the fluidity of body movement.

 

The film addresses the metamorphosis of the individual within the group. Deren
It uses dance and temporal manipulation (slow motion and image freezing) to turn social rituals into a mystical experience. Fábrica de Arte Nuevo has created the soundtrack for this piece by Maya Deren in collaboration with the American artist Holly Miranda.

SUN MOON RISING. Aileen Ye

Piece that explores migration, memory, and the way history
it is transmitted and transformed through the body over time.
The play follows three figures —Sun, Moon, and Rising—, each of them
situated in different landscapes. Moving separately through
elementary environments, trace fragmented paths shaped by the
displacement and the return. The figures seem to orbit one another
from others over time, as if trying to gather something that has been
scattered.

 

Dublin-based film director and screenwriter exploring subcultures
contemporary and the politics of the body.

 

Her films have been screened internationally at festivals such as the
BFI London Film Festival, IFFR, and SXSW London, and have been exhibited at art institutions such as the Barbican, the ICA, LUX, FACT Liverpool, Art Rotterdam, and esea Contemporary.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVED. Toni Sasal

 

Before you arrived is a personal photographic project by Toni Sasal that portrays Navarrese artists — or those closely linked to this community — from different generations and disciplines, including painting, architecture, photography, dance, literature, sculpture, and theater, captured in intimate moments of their creative process. This project, with the aim of photographing Navarrese artistic talent, began in 2019 and to this day remains ongoing with more than 200 artists photographed.

Beniamin Boar (b. 1978, Romania) is a dancer, performing artist, and photographer
living in Pamplona. She trained in Bucharest and at the Ballet School
from Hamburg. Between 2001 and 2005 she was a member of Rosas, the company of
Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, and has also collaborated with Charleroi-
Danses, Thierry De Mey, Les Ballets C de la B y Ultima Vez.

 

Desde 2013 trabaja junto a Alexandra Pirici y Manuel Pelmuș en proyectos
presented in institutions such as La Biennale di Venezia, Tate Modern,
Centre Pompidou, Skulptur Projekte Münster, Kunsthalle Wien, Museum
Museum Ludwig Cologne, Van Abbemuseum Eindhoven, and the Munch Museum in Oslo.

 

A graduate of the RHoK Academy in Brussels, he is also a part
of the Kunstenfestivaldesarts photography team in the same city.
